DETAILED ITINERARY:

Day1 Jakarta - Ordos   QG 9946/QG 5900 ETD 15:00 ETA 23:30

Gather at Jakarta airport and fly to Ordos. Check in Hotel

Day2 Ordos – Hohhot (B/L/D)

After breakfast, visit the iconic Genghis Khan Square, set in the heart of Hulun Buir, serves as a gathering space for travelers and locals alike. It is named after the Gen Gi Khan who is the most outstanding politician and militarist in the history of Mongolia, as well as is considered as the founding father of the Mongol Empire. This square is one of the largest squares in the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region so far. It covers an area of 230 thousand square meters, which is divided into seven functional areas: historical and cultural area, water activity area, fountain square area and so on. After the visiting, transfer to Hohhot by coach (about 4 hours). After dinner, check in hotel and have good rest.

Day3 Hohhot - Harbin (B/L/D) by MF 8027 ETD 14:15 ETA 16:35

After hotel breakfast, half day tour in Hohhot. Visit General’s office on the west side of Drum Tower in new urban district of Hohhot. According to the specifications of one product, the construction of large scale officials, brick and wood structure, covering an area of about thirty thousand square meters, a total of one hundred and thirty-two houses. In the Qing Dynasty, seventy-eight generals served in the office. There are Suiyuan City General Office restoration display exhibition and Sui yuan City eight banners garrison history overview.

                     

Followed by visiting General’s office, we will go to the Five Pagoda Temple which is located in the southeastern part of the old city of Hohhot. It was formerly known as the Diamond Tower, and there are five square steps on the tower, hence the name is the five pagoda temple. The tower was built during the period of the Qing Dynasty under Yong Zheng emperor reign. The most valuable of the five pagoda monastery is the Mongol astronomical carved stone inscription on the north wall, with an astronomical map of 144.5 cm in diameter. It is the only astronomical map in the world marked in Mongolian and has great scientific value. In the afternoon, transfer to airport to take domestic flight to Harbin. After a warm airport pick up, transfer to enjoy dinner at Harbin local restaurant and then check in hotel.

Day4 Harbin- Jilin (B/L/D)

After hotel breakfast, transfer to Jilin by coach (about 5.5 hours). Upon arrival, visit Beishan Park. The Beishan scenic area blends traditional Chinese culture including Buddhism, Taoism, Confucianism and folk culture, integrates human landscapes including temple, pavilion, building, kiosk, and stage, and is a well-known temple and garden scenic area in Northeast China. Then we will visit Yuhuang Pavilion which is a stylish building and places many China ancient mythical characters inside.

Finally we will visit the Jilin Catholic Church (outside only), which is a typical gothic architecture. Construction of the Jilin Catholic Church began in 1917 and was completed in 1926. It was built in the mould of classic Germanic Churches, a style that was first developed in France from 12th century and became popular in West Europe from the 12th century to 15th century.In the afternoon, we will go to Sika Deer Farm to see the exotic Sika Deer. Sika Deer Farm is the oldest Chinese deer farm in captivity, as well as the largest deer farm in Jilin. The deer are kept more than 1000. The annual yield of deer antler is about 750 kilos.

Day5 Jilin - Harbin (B/L/D)

After breakfast, transfer to Harbin by coach (about 5.5 hours). On the way to Harbin, we can appreciate the amazing view of Songhua Riverside- Rime Scene (depending on the weather), which is one of the most important roads and main viewing belts along the river scenery in Jilin City. After that, we will have bus tour at Songjiang Mid Road and Century Square, which is a major city landscape road in Jilin City.

After arriving in Harbin, we will go to the highlight of this trip --Ice & Snow World. It is a unique ice and snow tourism and cultural festival commissioned by Harbin Municipal Government and sponsored by Harbin Cultural Tourism Group. Since it was established, it has been expanding year by year. Covering more than 750,000 square meters and consuming ice and snow over 300,000 cubic meters, Harbin Ice and Snow World is one of the most important parts of Harbin International Ice and Snow Sculpture Festival.  It has become the most popular winter attraction in the world. In this dreamlike theme park, you not only can see the amazing colorful illuminated ice and snow sculptures, but also enjoy various interesting cultural activities and winter sports.       

Day6 Harbin - Hohhot (B/L/D) by MF 8028 ETD 18:15 ETA 20:30

After breakfast, we will watch the Winter Swimming Show. Watching the winter swimming show on the Songhua River is a very exciting activity. This is one of the top ten business cards of Harbin. Then we will go to Saint Sophia Cathedral (if in maintenance, cancel the visit). The cathedral’s main building is laid out like a cross with the main hall topped with a huge green-tipped dome. Under the bright sun, the church and the square area stand on look quite like Red Square in Moscow. Straight after, we will visit Stalin Park which is one of the places for sightseeing and great spot for the winter holidays on the river bank of Songhua River.Following visit the Flood Prevention Monument Tower with its unique western retro touch, stand out among all statues in the city and become the true representation of the city’s pride. Then we will visit Middle East Railway Bridge in Harbin which is also known as the Songhua River railway bridge. This name is always associated with its history. The Middle East Railway Bridge is the first bridge across the river in Harbin and a Songhua River railway bridge across the Middle East Railway of Eurasia. Afterwards, we will visit the most bustling street of Harbin, Central Street which is still one of major business streets in Harbin. There are a lot of stores, fashion shops and featured restaurants along two sides of this street. The buildings on the street are in all European styles like Renaissance architecture style, Baroque architecture style, eclecticism and so on. After finish the day in Harbin, we will go to airport to take domestic flight return to Hohhot. our dinner will be on the flight. Upon arrival, transfer to the hotel for rest.

Day7 Hohhot – Ordos (B/L/D) 

After breakfast, the first attraction of today is Dazhao Temple which is a large Tibetan Buddhist temple in the south of Hohhot Yuquan District, Inner Mongolia, China. Dazhao Temple is the earliest yellow temple built in Hohhot. It is also one of the large monasteries built in Mongolia only after the early days of conversion of the Mongolians who were called by Meidai.

Straight after we will go to the Fort Old Street which is located in Hohhot and nearby the Dazhao Lamasery. It is an ancient street with the architectural style of Ming and Qing dynasties. In front of it, there was a cross street on the west side of the door, and an archway was erected, called the Old Street. There are shops run by old copper craftsmen, as well as ethnic handicrafts shops that have developed in recent years.  

Day8  Ordos Whistling Dune Bay (B/L/D)

Today we will enjoy skiing at the famous Whistling Dune Bay (included round way cable car, the 1^st door entrance ticket). It is the first Desert Resort in China, and a large-scaled comprehensive tourism place where you can either undertake sightseeing or have lots of fun from the variety types of amusement. Accredited as AAAAA-Grade by the National Tourism Administration, it situates at the eastern side of Kubuqi Desert and is the nearest desert resort to Beijing and other provinces. Whistling Dune Bay is also the home of the world's photographers. In winter, for the skiers, the Whistling Dune Bay resort is your best choice to satisfy all your illusions about the desert and skiing. Snowfield has many desert skiing routes, giving you a different ski experience. After breakfast, free program until time to transfer to the airport and fly back to Jakarta.
